Ukrainian military destroyed an ammunition depot of the Russian Federation’s army in the Kinburn Spit area.
This was reported by the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
As it became known on October 18, the Russian depot was destroyed by the naval forces together with a unit of the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU).
«The result of effective cooperation: naval forces together with a unit of the Security Service of Ukraine destroyed the enemy’s ammunition depot in the Kinburn Spit area», – the report states.
It should be noted that the Kinburn Spit is a narrow peninsula located south of Ochakiv between the Black Sea and the Azov Sea. It has strategic significance as it controls the sea approaches to the port of Mykolaiv and key shipping routes.
