Near Irpin in the Kyiv region, not far from a clearing, sappers discovered several anti-personnel mines. The explosive finds have been removed for further destruction at a special range.
This was reported by the press service of the Irpin Municipal Guard. Residents of the region are urged not to touch suspicious objects and to immediately call the special services.
"Due to the fighting, the forests of many areas in the Kyiv region remain contaminated with munitions, the demining of which requires significant time. In the photo – the latest finds of pyrotechnicians in the forest near Irpin: PMN-1 and PMN-2 anti-personnel mines, discovered literally two meters from the clearing. This is another reminder: it is still dangerous in the forests of our region!" added the press service.
PMN (anti-personnel pressure mine) – a series of anti-personnel blast mines that were developed and manufactured in the Soviet Union. They are among the most common anti-personnel mines in the Russo-Ukrainian war.
