Last night, the Defence Forces neutralized 415 enemy targets, including 406 strike UAVs of the Shahed and "Gerbera" types, as well as 9 missiles of various types. Hits by 26 missiles and 52 strike UAVs were recorded at 25 locations.
This was reported by the press service of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"On the night of November 8 (from 18:30 on November 7), the enemy launched a combined strike on critical infrastructure facilities in Ukraine using strike UAVs, as well as air-, ground-, and sea-based missiles. In total, the radiotechnical troops of the Air Force detected and tracked 503 air attack assets – 45 missiles (of which 32 were ballistic) and 458 UAVs of various types (approximately 300 were ’Shaheds’)," the Air Force stated in a message on their Telegram channel.
It is reported that of this number, there were 458 strike UAVs of the Shahed and "Gerbera" types (as well as other types of drones) launched from the directions of Kursk, Millerovo, Orel, Primorsko-Akhtarsk – Russia, and Hvardiiske – temporarily occupied territory of Crimea; 25 Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles (from Kursk, Voronezh, Rostov regions – Russia); 10 Iskander-K cruise missiles (from Kursk, Voronezh regions – Russia); 7 X-47M2 "Kinzhal" aeroballistic missiles (from Tambov region – Russia); and 3 "Kalibr" cruise missiles (from the Black Sea area).
It is noted that the main directions of the strike were Kyiv, Dnipro, and Poltava regions.
According to preliminary data, as of 10:00, air defence shot down/suppressed 415 air targets: 406 strike UAVs of the Shahed and "Gerbera" types (as well as other types of drones); and 9 missiles of various types. Currently, hits by 26 missiles and 52 strike UAVs have been recorded at 25 locations, as well as the fall of downed targets (debris) at 4 locations in various regions of Ukraine.
In addition, as of 10:00, information regarding the fall/hits of 10 enemy missiles is being clarified.
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Defence Forces of Ukraine.
