100 thousand dollars for closing a case on state property
In 2021, prosecutors demanded 100 thousand dollars in exchange for making decisions in the interests of officials of a state enterprise and a private company that had taken possession of the property of this enterprise. In particular, they promised to close the case on the appropriation of property and not to hold the guilty parties accountable. After receiving the money, the case was closed.
3% for peace of mind
The suspects organized a scheme of systematically receiving a "tax" from a private company engaged in road construction. During 2019-2021, the company signed contracts worth hundreds of millions of hryvnias, of which, at the prosecutors’ demand, it had to pay them 3%. In return, the officials promised not to take action regarding possible violations during the performance of the work.
Khyma and his subordinate received suspicions under Parts 3 and 4 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
