Chernihiv prosecutor Stetsenko boasts of friendship with BYUT MP Dubil

The newly appointed prosecutor of the Chernihiv region, Volodymyr Stetsenko, is a friend of the Member of Parliament of Ukraine, Valeriy Dubil.

Volodymyr Stetsenko reported this at a press conference held at the regional prosecutor’s office.

«I won’t hide that Valeriy and I have known each other for a long time. And we are friends», – he stated.

However, the involvement of the Member of Parliament in his appointment to the new position is not confirmed by Volodymyr Stetsenko.

«We have an appointment procedure. There is the leadership of the General Prosecutor’s Office. When changes occurred in the GPU, I was invited the next day, they called my mobile phone for me to appear. And the appointment process followed. Initially, there were other options, but then they settled on the Chernihiv region, to which I gladly agreed», – he reported.

Let us remind you, 57-year-old Volodymyr Stetsenko was appointed to the position of prosecutor of the Chernihiv region on March 13.

He had previously worked in the Chernihiv region. Specifically, in the Bakhmach, Bobrovytsia, and Ripky districts, as well as in the cities of Varva, Kozelets, and Pryluky.

Let’s also add that Stetsenko worked as a prosecutor in Pryluky in the late nineties – early two-thousands. At the same time in Pryluky he was successfully advancing his business career and Valeriy Dubil with his partners from the so-called «Europeans’ group ».

Let me remind you that today it is Valeriy Dubil who is being called responsible for the personnel policy in the region, with his consent the head of administration, deputies of the Chernihiv mayor were appointed.
