Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the Russians have shelled Ukrainian territory 110 thousand times, mainly targeting civilian infrastructure.
This was announced at the forum "Ukraine. Year 2024" forum, Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko said.
"Since the beginning of the large-scale invasion, Ukraine has been shelled 110,000 times, mostly civilian infrastructure. And this always involves sending huge forces of our rescuers and police to the sites to eliminate the consequences of such attacks," he said.
Ihor Klymenko stressed that during this time, the National Police alone has documented 113,000 war crimes.
At the same time, the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs said that while a year ago international partners invited Ukrainians to training sessions to teach them how to work as rescuers, how to clear rubble and document crimes, Ukrainian law enforcement officers are now receiving dozens of requests to share their unfortunately bitter experience.
"Ukrainians can provide their international partners with maximum information on how to deal with the aftermath of enemy shelling. After all, the protocols we work under are being improved every day. Thanks to this, we can work very quickly and efficiently," explained Klymenko.
