SOF fighters destroy Russian electronic warfare system in Zaporizhzhya sector

In the Zaporizhzhya sector, Ukrainian troops destroyed an enemy electronic warfare system. It was a well-known Russian electronic warfare station called "Zhytel".

The destruction of the equipment of the occupiers was reported by the Special Operations Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. As Ukrainian defenders noted, “the duty “Zhytel” and its crew did not survive.”

The automated jamming station R-330 "Zhytel" was noticed during reconnaissance by operators of reconnaissance UAVs of the 3rd separate MTR regiment. They accompanied an important target for some time, after which they transmitted information to the missile and artillery unit of the Defence Forces.

The “Zhytel” and his crew were “defeated” by a precise Himars missile strike. This moment was caught on video.

What is R-330 electronic warfare "Zhytel"

It’s interesting that they discovered enemy equipment thanks to a drone. The invaders use the automated jamming station “Zhytel” to combat drones.

In addition, it is the R-330 “Zhytel” that interferes with the operation of satellite communication systems, GPS navigators and GSM-900/1800 cellular communications.

Several such electronic warfare machines, operating simultaneously, can find direction finding of any sources of radio emission and calculate their coordinates.

Electronic warfare is mounted on the chassis of a Ural truck. Station deployment time is no more than 40 minutes. Combat crew of at least four people.

This is not the first time that Ukrainian defenders have encountered such enemy equipment. The first such electronic warfare was destroyed at the end of March 2016 in the Donbas. Since then, our soldiers have eliminated more than a dozen such stations. The last message about the destruction of "Zhytel" was on February 28. This happened near Bakhmut.
