ISW: The occupiers are advancing near Avdiivka

The Russian occupiers have recently advanced slightly to the northwest of Avdiivka, in particular near Berdychi and near Orlivka.

This was reported by analysts at the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW), citing geolocation footage published on March 9 and 10.

It is noted that positional battles continued:

• near Berdychi,
• west of Avdiivka near Orlivka and Tonenke,
• southwest of Avdiivka near Pervomaiske, Severne and Nevelske.

"Units of the Russian 24th Guards Special Forces Brigade (’Main Intelligence Directorate of the General Staff (MID)’) are operating near Berdychi. Units of the 1st ’Sloviansk’ motorised rifle brigade of the ’Donetsk People’s Republic’ are operating in the Avdiivka sector," the report says.
