The Ministry of Defence explained whether there is a need to mobilize 500 thousand people
The number of mobilized is adjusted depending on the needs and situation at the front. However, 400-500 thousand are general estimates.
This was reported by the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine.
“For security reasons, we cannot comment on the exact number required to attract people to the Defence Forces. At the same time, 400-500 thousand are adjusted general estimates depending on the development of events in the theater of operations and which cannot be satisfied immediately,” the ministry explained.
The Ministry of Defence stated that the process of strengthening the armed forces is now underway, in particular, in order to be able to release from the troops those who have been defending the state from the first days of a full-scale invasion.
Let us note that this morning the American edition of the Financial Times stated that the Ministry of Defence in a commentary to the publication reported that the mobilization law was allegedly aimed at replacing 330 thousand military personnel at the front.
However, already in the evening, the publication changed the text of the material and removed the information that the mobilization aims to immediately replace this number of military personnel at the front.
