General of the AFU told about the advantages of the Russian army in the war

The Russian army uses two main advantages at the front - artillery and aviation. This allows the Russians not to reduce the intensity of shelling.

This was stated by Deputy Defence Minister Lieutenant General Ivan Havrylyuk.

Gavrilyuk believes that Russia was able to assess the production capacity of Ukraine and its partners and began to use its advantage in ammunition. After all, since the beginning of 2024, ammunition costs have been 7:1 in favor of the Russians.

In addition, the Russians believe that they have enough ammunition to dominate the front line for a long time. This is due to the fact that the “barrage” of fire is provided not only by Russian factories, but also by North Korea.

According to the general, Russian aviation also has a significant advantage - enemy fighters regularly hit positions and front-line territories with controlled aerial bombs. In particular, in 77 days of 2024, the Russians dropped more than 3,500 CABs - this is 16 times more than in 2023.

However, F-16 fighters will change Russian dominance in the air, which will increase the capabilities of the Defence Forces on the ground.

“But the situation is such that we do not yet have F-16s, and stocks of ammunition of certain types are falling to critical levels. These and other factors make it difficult for the Ukrainian Defence Forces to carry out tasks to repel the aggressor,” he noted.

The Czech Republic found shells for Ukraine

In recent months, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have experienced an acute shortage of artillery ammunition at the front. Recently, for this reason, our soldiers had to retreat from Avdiivka, and also lose several more settlements in the Donetsk region.

In February, Czech President Petr Pavel announced that Prague had found 800 thousand artillery ammunition for the military needs of Ukraine: half a million 155 mm caliber and 300 thousand 122 mm caliber. However, funds had to be raised to purchase them.

The other day Pavel said that the allies had already found almost all the necessary funds to purchase the announced batch.

At the same time, Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Petr Fiala stated that the Czech initiative was promised another 200 thousand ammunition for Ukraine on an optional basis.
