Before leaving the city, border guards showed the last battles for Avdiivka
The State Border Service showed footage of the last days of the defence of Avdiivka in the Donetsk region before leaving the city, where border units took part along with units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The State Border Service reports this and will publish the corresponding video of how the exit from Avdiivka took place.
As the State National Security Service recalled, on October 10, 2023, Russian troops launched large-scale assault operations to cordon off Avdiivka. During four months of active fighting, the enemy lost more than 45 thousand military personnel and several hundred armored vehicles wounded and killed.
During this time, Ukrainian border guards also fought for the city alongside units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and other Defence Forces.
They left their positions only on February 17, 2024, after a corresponding order from the command.
