About 156 thousand residents remain in the Kherson region
Including about 68 thousand in Kherson.
This was announced by the head of the RMA, Oleksandr Prokudin, in an interview with Ukrainian media.
According to him, 156 thousand is about a third of the number that was before the war in the region.
At the same time, official data at the beginning of 2022 showed the population of the region as 1 million people and the population of Kherson as 287 thousand people. If we compare them with the current RMA data, the population of the region has decreased by six times, the regional center - by four times.
