Ukrainian soldiers continue to inflict losses on the enemy and “blind” the invaders. Another Murom-M long-range visual surveillance complex was destroyed by border guards and national guardsmen.
The equipment of the invaders, with which they tracked the movement of Ukrainian soldiers in the Zaporizhzhya direction, was damaged. The video of the defeat was published by the State National Security Service.
“Blind” the enemy: border guards, together with soldiers of the 23rd separate brigade of the NSU “Khortitsa”, discovered and destroyed another long-range visual surveillance complex “Murom-M” in the Zaporizhzhya direction,” noted in the description of the video.
The published footage shows how an FPV drone launched by Ukrainian soldiers hits a hostile complex. After this, in the place where the mast with the Murom-M installed on it stood, a powerful column of smoke rises.
The invaders began to use the new Murom-M surveillance systems especially actively in March 2023. These long-range visual surveillance devices are capable of autonomously recording enemy personnel and equipment. The complex is equipped with an optical camera with a good zoom that distinguishes a person at a distance of up to 10 km, as well as a thermal imager that detects a car at 8 km and a person at 4 km.
For maximum visibility, the complexes are installed on towers, elevators, tall buildings or standard masts.
Automatic Murom towers are also installed in Russia. Stationary versions “see” at 15 km and monitor any movements of Ukrainian forces near the border. They help the Russians correct artillery attacks and accompany Russian sabotage and reconnaissance groups.
