In recent weeks, 58 air raids have occurred in the Odesa region, which led to temporary losses for grain market participants and shippers, which amounted to approximately five days of unloading.

This was stated by Deputy Director of the Commercial Work Department of Ukrzaliznytsia Valeriy Tkachov.

“If you multiply this amount by the volume of average daily unloading, you can see that the losses amount to about 7 thousand cars,” Tkachov said.

He noted that obstacles in the work of the ports of big Odesa led to an increase in the accumulation of wagons by 6.9 times - up to 8,772 units.

Tkachov also reported that over the past week, the average daily volume of grain unloading at Odessa ports decreased by 41 wagons, to 1,408 units per day. Grain unloading at the Dunai ports was also reduced by seven wagons - to 102 units per day. At the same time, the queue in this direction decreased from 658 to 511 wagons with grain.
