The Russian Federation has accumulated “Kalibr” and can use them in the near future, - Budanov
The Russian fleet has been stockpiling "Kalibr" cruise missiles. Probably, the enemy can use them to attack Ukraine.
This was announced by the Chief of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine Kyrylo Budanov during a telethon.
“The calibers have been accumulated throughout this period. They are absolutely ready for use,” said the head of the Defence Intelligence.
According to him, Russia decided to use X-101 cruise missiles instead of Kalibr missiles because they are more effective.
“In the near future, I think we will see Kalibr again, because the number of X-101s has decreased significantly... There are regulations, documents, decisions, etc. The first is to restore the fleet’s missile stock, because "They had decreased significantly by that time. They completed this task. That is, now they are technically ready for their use. While the fleet was accumulating its missiles, the Russian Aerospace Forces were using the X-101," Budanov said.
It should be added that last year the Russians actively used sea-based Kalibr cruise missiles to attack Ukraine’s energy sector. This year the enemy almost did not use this type of missiles.
