Syrskyi and Umerov discuss situation at the frontline in Ukraine with Austin
Minister of Defence of Ukraine Rustem Umerov and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi had a telephone conversation with Pentagon head Lloyd Austin.
This was reported on Umerov’s Twitter .
According to Umerov, during the conversation with Austin, the current dynamics at the front were discussed. In addition, a general understanding of the situation and action plan were discussed.
“We informed the Minister of Defence in detail about the current situation and recent Russian attacks on Ukrainian cities and civilian infrastructure. I emphasized once again: Ukraine needs more air defence and missile systems,” Umerov wrote.
