HACC sentenced Reni mayor in bribery case
The mayor of Reni from the Odesa region was sentenced to nine years in prison. He was found guilty of accepting a bribe.
This was reported by the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court .
It is noted that a panel of judges found guilty the Reni mayor of the Izmail district of the Odesa region and a former deputy of the local council for receiving a bribe on an especially large scale.
The text does not indicate the first and last name of the mayor of the city of Reni, but we previously wrote that we are talking about Ihor Plekhov.
The court sentenced Mayor Reni to nine years in prison and the former deputy to 10 years in prison. They were also deprived of the right to hold positions in local governments and state authorities for a period of 3 years and all their property was confiscated.
