
The Air Force of Ukraine and the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine destroyed a Russian Tu-22M3 long-range strategic bomber carrying X-22 cruise missiles.
The commander of the Air Force, Lieutenant General Mykola Oleshchuk, reported this on Telegram.
“For the first time, anti-aircraft missile units of the Air Force, in cooperation with the Main Intelligence Directorate, destroyed the long-range strategic bomber Tu-22M3, the carrier of the Kh-22 cruise missiles, which Russian terrorists use to attack peaceful Ukrainian cities. During today’s attack, two such missiles were destroyed for the first time.”
Oleshchuk emphasized that Ukraine needs more funds, more missiles to better protect front-line territories from Russian terrorism.
