Zelenskyy: Ukraine has three sources of financial assistance

Assistance from the European Union, financial obligations of states that have signed bilateral security guarantees with Ukraine, and assistance from the United States, which must be approved by Congress, are Ukraine’s main financial sources.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced this in an interview with Brazilian media .

“Assistance from the EU is designed for four years, in the amount of 50 billion euros,” Zelenskyy noted.

He added that the EU’s support is "small but powerful."

At the same time, the head of the Ukrainian state drew attention to the fact that within the framework of signed bilateral security deals with different countries of the world there is a clause on financial assistance to Ukraine.

“This is not only about military support, it is about humanitarian aspects, financial and energy support,” the President said.

He cited the example of Germany, which, under the agreement signed in Berlin, will provide Ukraine with 7 billion euros of financial support per year.

In addition, Zelenskyy emphasized that he hopes for a positive decision by the US House of Representatives on the adoption of a bill to provide military and financial assistance to Ukraine.
