Zaporizhzhya elected a new head of the city
Deputies of the Zaporizhzhya City Council today, April 24, elected a new acting leader. mayor of the regional center This position will be held by Rehina Kharchenko.

According to him, the last full session of the City Council took place last year, namely on December 22. Over the course of 4 months, more than 200 issues related to the life of Zaporizhzhya were virtually frozen and awaited solutions.
“This, in particular, is the work of critical utilities that were in limbo due to lack of funding,” the head of the region wrote.
Fedorov clarified that there should be no tolerance for corruption, politicking and internal enemies. He called the creation of an economically strong Zaporizhzhya a priority.
It is worth noting that this post was previously held by Anatoly Kurtev. He became acting mayor of Zaporizhzhya since September 29, 2021, and was previously secretary of the city council. The mayor of Zaporizhzhya was Volodymyr Buryak, who was twice elected to the position of mayor of the city, but was dismissed from office in 2021.
