In Germany, a 57-year-old Russian, suspected of committing the murder of two Ukrainians in the city of Murnau, was chosen as a preventive measure in the form of arrest.

The police press service reported this.

According to the police, the suspect appeared before the investigating judge on Sunday, April 28, at the request of the Munich II prosecutor’s office, which is leading the case.

An arrest warrant was issued for the Russian suspect.

Police immediately took the man to prison, where he is in custody.

An investigation by the prosecutor’s office and the criminal investigation department into the background and motives of the crime is currently ongoing.

Let us remind you that the murder occurred on April 27. The two men with serious injuries were notified around 5:20 p.m. By the time doctors arrived, one person had already died. The second, who was also seriously injured, died soon in hospital.

The dead were two Ukrainians, 23 and 36 years old, who lived in the neighboring district of Garmisch-Partenkirchen.

After immediate investigative actions, a 57-year-old suspect, a Russian citizen, was detained near the scene of the incident; the man was detained at his home.
