When men must go to the TRC after 18 May - military official

It was better for those liable for military service to visit the Territorial Recruitment Centers (TRC) after May 18, when mobilization in Ukraine intensified. If they come earlier or update the data in 2023, there will be no problem. In what cases is it necessary to go to the military registration and enlistment office and when is it not necessary to do this, the speaker of the Poltava Regional TRC Roman Istomin spoke on the air of the all-Ukrainian telethon.

Istomin answered a question from a journalist who asked whether Ukrainians were making a mistake when they stood in lines outside military registration and enlistment offices, and whether they would have to go there again after May 18.

He explained to the military how men should act in conditions of mobilization in Ukraine. For example, they could be in the TRC in April-May 2024, 2023 or 2000. Next, there are several options for the course of events after May 18:

• the citizen was previously in the TRC and his data in the register of persons liable for military service has not changed - then there is no need to go to the military registration and enlistment office;
• a citizen has changes - you need to go to the military registration and enlistment office. You have 60 days to update the information, and it is not prohibited to do this right now;
• the citizen received a summons to update information - it is also necessary to meet with the military (arrive at the specified time).

Istomin also added that after changing any item in the military registration data, the man has seven days to independently report this to the TRC. The military did not specify how those who spent seven days in lines and did not make it to the military registration and enlistment office would be punished during mobilization in Ukraine.

Those liable for military service should really come if the law on mobilization in Ukraine comes into force,” said a representative of the Poltava RTRC. However, the regulatory act does not contain any prohibitions or restrictions on the desire of citizens to update military registration data.

“Let’s just say he can do this after the law comes into force. But no one forbids him to apply now, because this is the duty of every person liable for military service,” he said.
