Parliament is considering two models of economic reservation, and discussions are ongoing.

This was announced by the head of the Servant of the People parliamentary faction, member of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defence and Intelligence, David Arakhamia, during a briefing in parliament

“Two models of economic reservation are being considered. They are under discussion. On the one hand, we understand that we cannot spend a single dollar of international assistance on military salaries. Any salaries for the military, and we want to raise them, we want more military personnel, is our money in the form of duties and on the other hand, for this money to appear, the economy must work. But many opponents say that the rich do not serve, and the poor join the army.”

According to Arakhamia, the first model provides that the amount of taxes on the salary of a person liable for military service should be 35 thousand hryvnia, which will be enough to retain one soldier.

At the same time, he added that the second model provides for a quota for the enterprise for those liable for military service.

"For example, media. Relatively speaking, you have 10% of the people you can book. Who it will be will be decided by the manager independently. The minimum salary is paid for these people monthly. Now the minimum is 20 thousand hryvnia, that is, 20 thousand hryvnia for each the reserved person is paid monthly. This is separate from taxes,” the head of the SN faction clarified.

According to Arakhamia, some kind of economic reservation model will still be introduced.
