The situation at the front: the Russian army did not achieve success in Kharkiv region

The Russian occupation army continues to attack in the south and east of Ukraine, trying to break through the defenses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The Avdiivka direction turned out to be the hottest over the past 24 hours, while at the same time, attempts at an offensive in the Kharkiv region were stopped. This is stated in the evening meeting of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of May 10.

During the day, 91 military clashes were recorded. In just one day, the enemy carried out 6 missile and 67 air strikes, and carried out 92 shellings from MLRS.

In turn, during the day, Defence Forces aviation and missile forces launched strikes on 1 anti-aircraft missile system, 1 radar station and 17 areas where enemy personnel were concentrated.

In the Volyn and Polissya sectors, the operational situation has not changed significantly, and no signs of enemy offensive groups have been detected, the Armed Forces said. In the Siverskyi direction, the enemy is conducting sabotage and reconnaissance activities and increasing the density of minefields along the Ukrainian border.

In the Slobozhanskyi sector, the enemy carried out 5 attacks in the areas of Krasne, Morokhovets, Oliynykove, and Hatyshche in Kharkiv region.

In the Kupyansk sector, our troops repelled 10 attacks in the vicinity of Sinkivka and Berestove in Kharkiv region; Stelmakhivka in Luhansk region, where the enemy, supported by air power, tried to improve the tactical situation.

In the Liman direction, the Defense Forces repelled 6 attacks in the areas of the settlements of Makiivka in the Luhansk region and Torske in the Donetsk region.

In the Bakhmut sector, our troops repelled 17 attacks in the areas of Bilohorivka, Luhansk region; Verkhnekamianske, Rozdolivka, Hryhorivka, Bohdanivka, Kalynivka, Klishchiyivka and Andriivka, Donetsk region, where the enemy, with the support of aviation, tried to improve the tactical situation.

In the Avdiivka sector, our defenders repelled 22 attacks in the areas of Kalynove, Novooleksandrivka, Sokil and Umanske in Donetsk region, where the enemy, supported by aviation, tried to force our units out of their positions.

In the Novopavlivka sector, the Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to hold back the enemy in the vicinity of Krasnohorivka, south-west of Novomykhailivka and near Solodke in Donetsk region, where the enemy tried to break through the defences of our troops three times.

In the Kherson sector, the enemy did not conduct any offensive actions during the day. However, in the Orikhivsk sector, the enemy attacked the positions of our defenders 8 times near Staromayorske, Donetsk region, and Robotyne, Zaporizhzhya region.
