Russian occupation forces continue their offensive in the north of Kharkiv region near Lyptsi and Vovchansk. Thus, yesterday the enemy carried out air strikes using guided aerial bombs in the area of Vovchansk.
Due to the intense shelling by the enemy, the evacuation of the local population began in Vovchansk and nearby villages. Footage of the evacuation of people in the Kharkiv region was published on Radio Liberty’s Telegram channel.
"At night, planes were dropping bombs on the city, a lot of them, the sky was shaking, it was very scary," says a local resident.
Residents also say that it was difficult for them to decide to evacuate, but it is becoming increasingly dangerous to stay in their hometown.
Tamaz Gambarashvili, the head of the Vovchansk military administration, said that most residents evacuated in their own cars. Those who are unable to use their own transport are being assisted by local authorities, law enforcement agencies and volunteers.
