Mykolaiv Mayor’s wife bought cryptocurrency and shares in Polish companies
Last year, Mykolaiv Mayor Oleksandr Senkevych earned UAH 678,000 in salary, and his wife Kateryna bought cryptocurrency and shares in Polish companies.
This is evidenced by the official’s declaration for 2023.
The mayor owns two plots of land with a total area of 2000 sq m, as well as two apartments in Mykolaiv with an area of 54.5 sq m and 69.6 sq m.
Kateryna Senkevych owns a 2622 sq m land plot and a 261.2 sq m building complex in occupied Nova Kakhovka. In addition, together with her parents, she owns a 66 sq m apartment in Nova Kakhovka.
In 2023, the mayor declared 678 thousand hryvnias of salary, thus Senkevych earned 132 thousand less than in 2022 (then the salary was 810 thousand hryvnias).
Oleksandr Senkevych lives in a rented house in Mykolaiv with an area of 271.5 sq m. His wife and children have been living in Poland since the full-scale invasion. She rents a 68 sq m apartment there. Kateryna pays for the rent, a Volvo XC90 and their children’s education out of her own pocket.
In 2023, Senkevych’s wife received income from business activities in the amount of UAH 4.68 million and a salary of UAH 116 thousand at her main job.
The declaration for 2022 states that Kateryna owned corporate rights in only two companies, while the declaration for 2023 states that in addition to a 39% stake in two companies in Mykolaiv, Senkevych’s wife also owns stakes in two companies registered in Warsaw: "Solna Spółka LLP (33%) and 25% in Czarne Mogi LLP.
Kateryna also bought cryptocurrencies. According to the declaration, the total amount is UAH 18,199 (in 2022, it was UAH 11,000 more).
Oleksandr Sienkevych indicated that he kept UAH 53,703, EUR 159 and USD 1,927 on his accounts in Ukrainian banks.
His wife declared $75,000 in cash. She has 140,270 hryvnias and 4,981 dollars on her accounts in Ukrainian banks. Kateryna has 11 thousand euros, 15 thousand dollars and 210 zlotys in Polish banks.
