Cabinet of Ministers allowed to reserve up to 100% of workers in the defence industry and energy sector
The Cabinet of Ministers amended Resolution No. 76 and allowed enterprises of the military-industrial complex and energy to reserve up to 100% of employees.
The Ministry of Economy reports this.
“Manufacturers of weapons, drones, our power engineers, who are currently restoring the energy system, will be able to reserve 100% of their workers,” said Deputy Minister of Economy Ihor Fomenko.
According to him, thanks to this decision, enterprises that produce weapons and work for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will be able to better plan their work and work effectively to strengthen defense capabilities, and power engineers will be able to provide people with heat and electricity.
In addition, the booking period for workers of critical enterprises was increased from 6 months to a year. It is also allowed to reserve military personnel regardless of age, military rank or military training, even if it is in short supply.
Changes to Resolution No. 76 of January 27, 2023 provide, in particular:
- reservation of 100% of workers by defense industry enterprises with contracts for the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations. Workers may be booked for the duration of such contracts;
- reservation of 100% of workers by enterprises of the electric power, nuclear industrial, coal industrial and oil and gas complexes and enterprises restoring or repairing destroyed or damaged enterprises of the energy complex;
- reservation of 100% of employees by enterprises that build fortifications for the period of validity of the construction contract;
- For police officers and employees of the State Emergency Service, in case of justified need by the Minister of Internal Affairs, the number of reserved employees may exceed 50%. That is, it will be possible to book up to 100% of workers, subject to justification and separate approval from the Minister of Defence.
