Vehicles are allowed to pass in both directions at Medyka-Shehyni checkpoint - State Border Guard Service

The Medyka-Shehyni checkpoint is operating normally, despite the threats of Polish farmers to start a protest.

The speaker of the State Border Service Andriy Demchenko spoke about this.

“The preliminary information we had was that today actions could begin to block traffic in the direction of the Shehyni checkpoint, from the Polish side - “Medyka”. But, fortunately, these actions did not begin, there is normal traffic for all categories of transport, in both directions," he explained.

However, according to him, given that Polish farmers announced the blocking of the checkpoint, it cannot be ruled out that this will happen over time.

As reported, the day before, Polish farmers announced a protest in front of the Medyka-Shehyni checkpoint on the Ukrainian-Polish border, which involves blocking traffic across the border until the end of September.
