Zelenskyy summed up the Peace Summit in Switzerland: “The leaders showed their integrity”

On Sunday, 16 June, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy addressed journalists at a press conference to summarise the results of the two-day Peace Summit in Switzerland. He called the event, which brought together 101 countries and organizations, a success - despite Russian opposition.

The briefing began around 16:15 (Kyiv time). It was broadcast online by the YouTube channel of the Office of the President.

The Guarantor emphasized that Ukraine does not want “peace behind the scenes” - all leaders participating in the summit could express their opinion and discuss it. The greatest success - and the only possibility of existence - for our state will be a just end to the war. The inaugural Global Peace Summit was a first but powerful step towards this.

The President thanked the participating countries and emphasized that the Peace Summit is only the first step, but it is very powerful.
