Russian invaders have been losing up to 250 people a day in recent months. Moreover, since the beginning of the war, about 120 thousand soldiers have died.
The relevant data is provided by RosSMI with reference to statistics from the Russian Register of Inheritance Cases and its own calculations.
Analysts have developed a mathematical model that takes into account the age distribution of newly found dead and the likelihood of them being included in the registry. According to such calculations, since the beginning of 2024, the losses of the Russian army have increased by 39 thousand people. This value is almost double the average rate of loss of life in the last quarter of last year.
According to researchers, the increase in Russian losses began with the winter of this year and the assault on Avdiivka, and continued with attacks along the entire front line and an offensive in the Kharkiv region.
According to the publication’s estimates, the current Russian offensive has already exceeded the battles for Bakhmut and Soledar in terms of losses, when the occupiers lost about 21 thousand people.
