In Ukraine, fires occurred at energy facilities due to the heat

Due to the significant heat in Ukraine, fires broke out at energy facilities. Both occurred in the west of the country.

The Ministry of Energy reports this.

“In the western region, a high-voltage overhead line was switched off due to a fire caused by the heat. The fire was extinguished, after which the line was put back into operation,” the message says.

In addition, a high-voltage substation switched off at night, which led to the loss of power in the overhead line connecting the energy systems of Ukraine and Moldova.

“Due to the heat, a fire broke out on the territory of the substation, which was extinguished,” the Ministry of Energy added.
