
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that he had invited Donald Trump to visit Ukraine during a telephone conversation on 20 July. If the American politician wants to know something about Ukraine, he can come and "see for himself" or ask the head of state.
Zelenskyy stated this in an interview with Japanese public broadcaster NHK.
The media notes that this month Kyiv contacted the Trump campaign and his opponents from the Democratic Party Kamala Harris.
Zelenskyy said that during a telephone conversation he invited Trump to visit Ukraine.
The President noted that if Trump wants to know something about Ukraine, he can come and “see with his own eyes” or ask him.
The head of state also said that Ukraine conveyed messages to the team of the American presidential candidate.
Trump told Zelenskyy that he is available for any questions and the President of Ukraine can contact him.
