General Staff announced changes in mobilization
In Ukraine, men who wish to serve in the Armed Forces can be drafted without the participation of territorial recruitment centers (TRC). The corresponding initiative has already been developed.
This was reported on the Facebook page of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
As noted in the General Staff, the changes assume that commanders of military units will be able to call up those liable for military service who have expressed a desire to do military service, without the participation of the TRC.
Such changes, according to the military command, will allow:
- simplify the mechanism for attracting citizens to military service through mobilization;
- commanders of military units to select and call up for military service personnel motivated to defend their homeland;
- those liable for military service may elect vacant positions located in military units;
- neutralize the risks for citizens of being called up through the TRC and SS to other military units (not of their own choice).
