The Main Intelligence Directorate told some of the nuances of the secret mission on the Tendrivska Spit

The secret mission that soldiers of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine carried out on the Tendrivska Spit should bring results in the long term. Moreover, such operations require careful reconnaissance.

This, in turn, indicates the presence of a powerful intelligence network of Ukraine in the temporarily occupied territories. The head of the Council of Reservists of the Ground Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Ivan Tymochko, spoke about this during the telethon.

According to him, the task carried out by the DIU soldiers has a “long-term perspective.” Timochko emphasized that today the Russian occupiers do not control the Black Sea as well as they could do a year ago. The weakening of the enemy’s positions is associated with attacks on air defense systems, airfields and warships of the Russian Federation.

At the same time, the head of the Council of Reservists of the Ground Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces added that successful operations require thorough reconnaissance, indicating the presence of a powerful intelligence network of Ukraine. According to him, this makes it possible to know where there are blind spots in the Russian maritime control system.

At the same time, Timochko noted that the GUR operation on the Tendrivska Spit also has an informational impact. In particular, he compared it with the operation to return the “Boiko towers” in the Black Sea to the control of Ukraine.

Tendrivska Spit is a long narrow island-spit in the northern part of the Black Sea off the coast of the Kherson region. In the western part it turns into the White Kuchugury spit. Administratively it belongs to the Skadovsky district of the Kherson region. It is separated from the coast by Tendrovsky Bay and a narrow strait. The length of the spit is about 65 km, width – up to 1.8 km, area – 1289 hectares. dqxikeidqxitkant
