The former head of one of the military training centers, the head of the medical service of this center and eight private entrepreneurs were notified of suspicion for the fact of supplying low-quality first aid kits to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The State Bureau of Investigation press service reported this on Monday, August 12.

Investigators established that eight contracts were concluded between the training center and entrepreneurs for the supply of 30,773 first aid kits for a total of 58.5 million hryvnia.

Military officials did not check the quality of the first aid kits supplied.

Later, an examination confirmed that the first aid kits did not meet the established standards, did not have the appropriate components, and the available drugs were of inadequate quality. Thus, the use of such first aid kits could harm the health of military personnel.

The sanction for the articles incriminated to officials provides for a punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of eight to ten years.

While the entrepreneur faces a prison sentence of up to eight years.
