The Biden administration has announced a new package of defence assistance to Ukraine

This security package provides for the allocation of an additional $2.4 billion under the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative (USAI).

Among the capabilities being discussed are:

- Ammunition and support for Ukrainian air defence systems;
- Air-to-ground munitions;
- Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and components to support Ukrainian UAV production;
- Counter-UAV systems;
- Unmanned surface vessels;
- Secure communication equipment;
- Equipment and logistical support for Ukrainian ammunition production;
- As well as spare parts, technical maintenance and support, and other auxiliary equipment.
