Former deputy Syrotyuk proposed to gradually lower the age threshold for mobilization

Ex-deputy Yuriy Syrotyuk ("Svoboda") suggests gradually lowering the age threshold for mobilization as the war continues.

"Every six months of the war’s duration, the upper limit of mobilization age should be systematically reduced. For example, starting from the beginning of 2025, people aged 24 and older can be admitted to the Defence Forces. If the high-intensity war continues in 2025, it would be worth involving 23-year-olds from July. In this way, young people will have a clear understanding of their prospects, and the army will gradually become younger," writes Syrotyuk.

He calls the calls to demobilize people over 50 and not involve young people aged 18-25 "dangerous and criminal populism." Syrotyuk believes that this is an "existential war," so there is no choice.
