Russian forces have occupied Ostrivske on the approaches to Kurakhove. This was reported by the Ukrainian military public page Deep State.

The Russian Ministry of Defence declared the capture of the village back on October 12.

According to Ukrainian military personnel, this poses a threat to the neighboring Maksymilianivka, which is being attacked by Russian forces.

«If the enemy from Ostrivske approaches the river, logistics may be disrupted, and then we will have to retreat, as this is a strategically important section of the front. If they can cross the bridge in Kurakhove, Maksymilianivka may fall,» said a military serviceman with the call sign «Muchnyi».
