
The Defence Forces shot down 31 Russian drones and one guided aviation missile X-59/69, which the Russians used to attack Ukraine since the evening.
This was reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Telegram.
From 6:00 PM on October 31, the Russians attacked Ukraine with three guided aviation missiles X-59/69 from the airspace of the temporarily occupied territory of the Kherson region, as well as 48 strike drones of the Shahed type and drones of unknown type from the directions of: Orel, Kursk.
The Russian tactical aviation launched strikes with guided aerial bombs in the Kharkiv, Sumy, and Zaporizhzhya regions.
The air assault was countered by the anti-aircraft missile forces, aviation, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the Air Force and the Defence Forces of Ukraine.
As of 08:00 on November 1, the downing of 31 enemy UAVs has been confirmed.
14 drones were lost location-wise, and three UAVs flew towards Belarus.
Additionally, anti-aircraft defense shot down one guided aviation missile X-59/69, and the rest, thanks to active countermeasures, did not reach their targets.
Air defence forces operated in the Kirovohrad, Kyiv, Cherkasy, Vinnytsia, Zhytomyr, Khmelnytskyi, Sumy, Chernihiv, Odesa, and Poltava regions.
According to preliminary data, there are no casualties. However, due to falling debris, several civilian enterprises, as well as apartment buildings and private residences in the Poltava, Cherkasy, Kyiv, and Odesa regions, were damaged.
