
In the Zaporizhzhya region, Russian troops shot dead five Ukrainian prisoners of war. The incident occurred near the village of Novodarivka in the Polohy district.

According to preliminary data, on November 24, near the village of Novodarivka in the Polohy district, in an active combat zone, soldiers of the Russian army shot dead five Ukrainian defenders out of the six who were captured.
The law enforcement agencies have identified the Russian army unit, and its soldiers are being checked for involvement in this crime. Investigators also have a video recording that captures the moment of the shooting.
The Zaporizhzhya regional prosecutor’s office has opened a criminal case for violating the laws and customs of war, combined with intentional murder (part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The Prosecutor General’s Office emphasized that the killing of prisoners of war is a serious violation of the Geneva Conventions and is classified as a grave international crime.
