The husband of the deputy head of the Odesa district administration, Iryna Svishchenko, concealed a new apartment

The husband of the Deputy Head of the Primorskyi District Administration of Odesa, Iryna Svishchenko, has been exposed for false declaration.

This became known from the results of a full check of the declaration of Oleksandr Svishchenko, who works as the chief specialist of the department for monitoring and interaction with law enforcement agencies of the Municipal Security Department of the Odesa City Council.

In last year’s declaration, Svishchenko did not mention an apartment with an area of 48.6 square meters, which belongs to his wife. The property was purchased in June 2022. The city council official indicated its value as 1.83 million hryvnias.

The declarant explained to the NACP that he did not provide information about the real estate object belonging to his wife because she did not inform him that she received the apartment as a gift. He learned about the existence of the apartment only during a police investigator’s questioning related to the preparation of the 2023 declaration. The explanation was not taken into account, considering that the family member (the wife) is also a declarant and, according to the law, she submitted declarations including the apartment.

The agency concluded that the husband’s actions show signs of an offense under Article 366-2 of the Criminal Code.

We note that on the Odesa City Council website, the surname Svishchenko is spelled incorrectly.

Iryna Svishchenko is the deputy head of the Primorskyi District Administration under Marat Korolyov, who was appointed by Hennadiy Trukhanov.
