Russian forces have captured Novopustynka and continue the assault on Novotroitske in Donbas

According to the Ukrainian soldier with the callsign "Muchnyi", the Russians have completely cleared Novopustynka in the Pokrovsk direction and have secured this line.

Now, as he claims, Russian military forces have begun the assault on Novotroitske.

Thus, the Russian forces "ensure both logistics and rear support for their units that were able to secure positions on the outskirts of Shevchenko", explains "Muchnyi". Shevchenko is a key point for the defense of Pokrovsk from the south.

At the same time, according to the soldier’s report, in the Kurakhove direction, the Russians conducted an assault towards Uspenivka.

"They are now trying to secure positions east of the settlement and expand control north of the city of Sukhi Yaly in a westerly direction," he added.

Russian media also report a breakthrough by the Russian army towards Uspenivka.

Uspenivka is a village, the capture of which by Russian forces would mean the effective encirclement of Ukrainian units in a "pocket" to the east.
