MP Maryana Bezuhla reports that the 155th Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine named after Anna of Kyiv, which was trained and equipped in France, was "divided" among other brigades and sent to the front without combat coordination upon arrival in Ukraine.

"The situation with this brigade is similar to the situation with other new ’zombie brigades’ or, as they are also called, ’paper brigades’. These brigades are constantly formed for reporting purposes: people are assigned there, but the coordination of management structures is not carried out. Then the unit is simply divided into parts, attached to others, sending most into assault troops, except for those who, through various ’schemes’, end up in headquarters," writes the MP.

She cites a message from a soldier of the "Anna of Kyiv" brigade.

"Update on my brigade: in essence, this new brigade was needed by no one from the very beginning (although people across Ukraine were urgently recruited for its manning). The manning was carried out with the involvement of the French, who were given a demonstration to acquire weapons from them. And now, upon returning to Ukraine, this brigade is being dismantled like donor organs for other brigades. On one hand, this way we received new weapons and reinforcements for the active brigades. On the other hand, all our units are not coordinated at all neither with each other nor with the brigades they were attached to," writes the soldier.
