The coastal area of the de-occupied Beryslav region is currently under heavy fire from the military of the aggressor country on a daily basis. Settlements suffering from Russian shelling include Odradokamyanka. Often, the only hope for local residents for salvation becomes the police.
Despite constant risks to their own lives, police units of the Kherson region continue to serve in dangerous territories, evacuate the wounded under the threat of Russian attacks, and provide assistance to all who need it.
Yesterday, the head of Odradokamyanka contacted the police. She reported that an elderly couple wanted to evacuate from the settlement to a safer place. An evacuation team from employees of the Kakhovka District Police Department was dispatched to the given address in an armored vehicle, taking into account the security situation, in the shortest possible time.
In the settlement, in addition to the 78-year-old man and his 73-year-old wife, a 44-year-old local resident was also waiting for evacuation. Late the previous evening, he did not notice an anti-personnel mine in the dark and stepped on it. As a result, he sustained a foot injury.
The police, without wasting time, helped the couple and the injured man board the vehicle and took them to a safe place. The injured man was handed over to medical workers, and the couple is currently waiting for their relatives to leave for a calmer and safer temporary place of residence.
Reminder: If you decide to leave settlements suffering from constant Russian shelling, contact the territorial police departments, the special line "102," local government bodies, or volunteers. You can also get information about evacuation by calling the "hotline" of the Kherson Regional Military Administration: 15-90-33-0080.
