The operator of the 68th Separate Ranger Brigade named after Oleksa Dovbush successfully neutralized an enemy FPV drone controlled via fiber optics.

The relevant video was published by the Telegram channel «Pro Connection from Serhiy Flesh».

According to the information, the Russian drone, controlled via fiber optics, was moving along the road intending to attack previously detected Ukrainian equipment.

Along the route, the drone was intercepted by a Ukrainian device of a similar type.

The ranger brigade operator immediately began maneuvering to intercept the enemy drone.

The Ukrainian drone outpaced the enemy, turned around, and destroyed it with a top-down attack.

Interception Drones

The Ukrainian Defence Forces have long used FPV drones as air defence tools.

This not only allows for saving scarce and expensive anti-aircraft missiles but also enables a faster response to threats from Russian reconnaissance drones.

Their interception is equally important, as they are used for adjusting the fire of barrel and rocket artillery or ballistic missiles.

FPV interceptors have repeatedly targeted frontline strike drones such as the "Lancet" type.

The interception of FPV drones, as one of the main Russian means of attack, can significantly reduce equipment and personnel losses and lower the defensive and offensive capabilities of the enemy.

Additionally, Ukrainian forces are developing reusable interceptor drones that capture enemy drones using nets.
