Unified heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk (22-0, 14 KOs) announced his intention to change division and return to cruiserweight. However, our compatriot did not specify whether this would happen immediately after the rematch with Tyson Fury (34-1-1, 24 KOs), which is scheduled for December 21.
He stated this in an interview with Sky Sports. The Ukrainian super champion noted that he aims to regain all the titles of the heavyweight division. Additionally, Oleksandr emphasized that the second fight against Tyson will be a continuation of the match on May 18, in which he won by split decision.

"I will win again in the second fight. I will try myself in cruiserweight again. I will try to become the undisputed champion. I feel good. It will be the 13th round, that’s how I feel it. Tyson Fury had a chance in the sixth round, maybe in the seventh round of the first fight, maybe in the 12th, 11th, first, second. But Tyson couldn’t win. It’s just talk. Tyson said he had a chance. No problem. We have a second fight, I will try," Usyk said.
