Syrskyi: For the third day, Russians are conducting intensive offensive actions in the Kursk region

The Russian Armed Forces, with the assistance of North Korean soldiers, have been conducting active offensive operations in the Kursk region for the third day in a row.

This was reported by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, during a video address to the participants of the All-Ukrainian Congress of Local and Regional Authorities held in Lviv.

"For the third day, the enemy has been carrying out intensive offensive actions in the territory of the Kursk region. Units of the North Korean army are being widely used. North Korean mercenaries have already suffered significant losses. Ukrainian defenders bravely hold the defence, destroying the enemy’s personnel and equipment, for which I am grateful to the soldiers, sergeants, and officers," Syrskyi noted.

The Commander-in-Chief added that under such conditions, the entire Ukrainian society must unite in supporting the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Additionally, according to him, in the north of Ukraine, the aggressor continues shelling border settlements in the Sumy and Chernihiv regions, conducting armed provocations and engaging in sabotage and reconnaissance activities.
