General Tkachuk was removed from the position of head of the Sahaidachnyi Academy in Lviv

Lieutenant General Pavlo Tkachuk was dismissed from his position as the head of the Hetman Petro Sahaidachnyi National Army Academy by order of the Minister of Defence.

This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine on December 18.

The ministry noted that during President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s visit to Lviv, Defence Minister Rustem Umyerov presented him with the results of an audit by the Main Inspection of the Ministry of Defence, which concerned the activities of the National Army Academy and numerous violations.

The President ordered that the situation be immediately rectified.

"Today (December 18 - Ed.) by order of the Minister of Defence of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Pavlo Tkachuk was dismissed from his position as the head of the Hetman Petro Sahaidachnyi National Army Academy," the Ministry of Defence said.

What preceded this

Previously, cadets of the National Army Academy in Lviv reported cases of bullying, humiliation, and abuse; lack of necessary medicines in the medical unit; poor food quality; and a "company fund," where cadets contribute money for various needs (for example, buying a printer, paper, cleaning supplies, etc.).
