In the temporarily occupied territories of the Kherson region, incidents of desertion among Russian soldiers have become more frequent. To combat this phenomenon, the command is using blocking detachments.
This is reported by the National Resistance Center.
It is noted that the reason for the escape and instances of self-inflicted injuries is the occupiers’ unwillingness to die for the ambitions of Russian dictator Vladimir Putin.
"Additional forces of the Russian National Guard have arrived in the region to search for deserters, performing the role of blocking detachments," the report says.
Furthermore, the NRC noted that the Russian command is housing occupiers along the banks of the Dnipro river in empty homes of Ukrainians, as well as in seized dormitories. For this purpose, the local occupation administration is compiling lists of relevant premises for resettlement.
