
In Chernihiv, the number of casualties resulting from the massive attack on January 3 has increased. Six people were injured.
This was reported by the head of the Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, Vyacheslav Chaus, during a telethon broadcast.
"As of this morning, six people have been injured. Five of them have light injuries and were given medical assistance on site. One is in the hospital in moderate condition," he noted.
Chaus also emphasized that a 72-year-old man died as a result of the attack. According to the head of the Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, the deceased was an educator and a candidate of pedagogical sciences.
Reports on social media indicate that as a result of a triple missile strike on the outskirts of Chernihiv on January 3, Oleksiy Halyonka, an associate professor at the Department of Philological Disciplines and Methods of Teaching at the Ushynskyi Chernihiv Regional Institute of Postgraduate Education, was killed.
In his Telegram channel, Chaus also reported that overnight in the Koriukivka district of the Chernihiv region, a drone strike damaged the windows of four houses.
By morning, a drone strike in the Chernihiv district was recorded, causing a fire. Russian forces destroyed a residential house and an outbuilding.
